A Drive for Five!

2008 Champions Membership Campaign
Sponsored by Jig-A-Loo

SkillsUSA has reached its membership goal of surpassing 300,000 members. Upon reaching this historic milestone, SkillsUSA now has the largest membership since our founding in 1965. Membership is not just reaching a new number or an arbitrary goal—growth means the opportunity to create a larger and stronger voice for career and technical education as a whole in Washington, D.C. and all across the nation.

Thanks for helping SkillsUSA reach our goal.

The Campaign
SkillsUSA launched the campaign by sending a mailing to all 15,000 local chapters of SkillsUSA. To participate, each instructor was invited to complete a Pledge Card stating that his or her school chapter or section will set a goal of adding five additional members over the previous school year. These five memberships may be paid student members or paid professional members, or any combination of the two.

Champions Campaign Recognition PinRecognition
SkillsUSA is now validating all pledge cards, verifying chapter membership increases and is sending each instructor — who completed a pledge card and who met their goal — a limited edition SkillsUSA Champions Campaign lapel pin and a full color certificate for their classroom or lab. Every SkillsUSA instructor had the opportunity to earn this unique award. Certificates and pins will be distributed by May 10, 2008.
