About the Lowe’s SkillsUSA Partnership
Lowe's views SkillsUSA as a solid nonprofit that presents a good fit for their brand and mission. "Our new partnership with SkillsUSA underscores Lowe's commitment to education. Through grants to local chapters and support of chapter community service projects, we hope to help further educate and empower young people who will become the contractors, industry leaders and community volunteers of the future," said Larry D. Stone, chairman of the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation.

Special Note to Schools: Lowe's is providing support to SkillsUSA specifically through grants to local schools. Partnership with your local Lowe's store is encouraged whether your school received a grant or not. Building a positive relationship might include asking a store manager, assistant manager or commercial sales specialist to serve on your local advisory council, to serve as a contest judge or to come for a school visit to see your technical programs. However, since Lowe's has graciously offered this grant program for our chapters, you should not solicit new donations or materials from your local Lowe's.

Questions? If you have questions on this program, please contact Katie Mooney at kmooney@skillsusa.org or call 703-737-0639.
