A Greener SkillsUSA Conference
SkillsUSA is working to meet the needs of our members by having an environmentally friendly national conference. We are asking all exhibitors to consider going a bit greener for your trade show booth. First, reduce the weight and bulk of your booth materials when possible to reduce its carbon footprint. Next, consider an eco-friendly trade show giveaway such as USB drives that allow users to transport files without having to print the information, promotional drinkware such as travel mugs that can be used again and again, or promotional cloth bags that can be reused. Also, please recycle paper, soda cans and other materials used in your booth. Recycling bins are available throughout the conference center. If your company participates in contests or has a large booth, you may have supplies or materials that can be recycled following conference. If so, please let us know in advance and we'll try to match you up with a local organization that can pick up these materials. If your company has any green initiatives, we encourage you to highlight these in your booth. SkillsUSA members have spoken clearly to indicate they are interested in supporting companies and programs that help the environment or reduce waste.
