Health occupations students at Sikeston (Mo.) Career and Technology Center participate in Project Hope (Helping Other People Everywhere). The goals of the program include building leadership skills in high-school students and developing healthy peer relationships through mentoring fifth- and sixth-graders. To expose younger children to careers in health occupations, the Sikeston students held a dissection learning lab (right). Among other activities, they hold an oral health education program near Halloween, and deliver hand-made blankets to cancer patients being treated at the Missouri Delta Cancer and Infusion Center.
