The results are in, and SkillsUSA is thrilled to announce the Lowe’s/SkillsUSA Social Media Challenge winners!
The campaign, which was held during SkillsUSA week, aimed to promote the Lowe’s/SkillsUSA partnership, SkillsUSA, career and technical education and local Lowe’s/SkillsUSA relationships. The campaign was a competitive process, held in three phases. The first phase included the submission of applications, social media plans and videos for a community service project. During the second phase, five finalists were selected based on their community service projects and social media plans to support the projects. Those finalists were announced on Jan. 4 and included Capital Region BOCES, Hermitage Technical Center, Palestine High School, Palm Beach Charter Schools/Inlet Grove Community High School, and Temple High School. All finalists launched their campaigns during the final phase, Feb. 7-13, and the three winners were then determined. Winners were selected based on social media content, audience engagement, promotion of the Lowe’s/SkillsUSA partnership, Lowe’s store engagement, social media platforms used and overall strategy.
Congratulations to the winners! We look forward to hearing about your exciting community service projects. We also want to extend a sincere thank you to the finalists and all schools that entered the challenge!
