Students at Ada Professional Technical Center in Meridian, Idaho, have spent their Saturdays granting a wish for a local man fighting cancer. Heavy snow damaged the awning at the man’s home, so the construction trades students had the chance to apply their skills — not for a grade, not for extra credit, but simply to help someone in need. They partnered with Wish Granters, an organization that fulfills the dreams of adults who have terminal illnesses. See the students’ story told by ABC affiliate KIVI TV in Nampa, Idaho: http://bit.ly/2jbVXRq.
