The WorldSkills Competition (WSC) is a thrilling showcase of the world’s most talented and skilled young professionals. Held every two years by the WorldSkills organization, the WSC brings together the best and brightest from over 80 countries to compete in a variety of skilled trades. It’s a celebration of the diversity and excellence of skills that drive the global economy, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for competitors to demonstrate their mastery while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in their respective fields.
SkillsUSA was recognized as the official U.S. representative to WorldSkills in 1973 by President Richard Nixon, and we’ve been proudly representing the United States at the event ever since. SkillsUSA assembles and manages a new “WorldSkills USA” team for each event, a group of talented, driven individuals who represent the best of American career and technical education on the world stage.
