A new docuseries showcasing the heart pounding, show stopping journeys of 14 SkillsUSA members from five high schools has been released, following them as they compete at the national SkillsUSA Championships.
More than 500 SkillsUSA students, teachers and leaders from 29 states have learned to become effective leaders, gained an understanding of how the federal government works and advocated for SkillsUSA in visits with their elected senators and representatives.
SkillsUSA instructors are among 25 outstanding teachers and teacher teams from 17 states who are winners for the 2023 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. In total, these educators shared $1.5 million in cash awards.
The one-year countdown to competition has begun as SkillsUSA initiates the process to field a team of talented young skilled trades experts to represent the United States at the 2024 WorldSkills Competition to be held Sept. 10-15 in Lyon, France.
SkillsUSA has once again teamed up with Tractor Supply Company (TSC), Tractor Supply Company Foundation and Carhartt for their annual “Support the Trades” campaign designed to raise awareness of the skilled trades while helping SkillsUSA close the skilled trades gap. Carhartt and TSC have an expanded this year’s “Support the Trades” line of shirts and hats from Carhartt to benefit SkillsUSA.
