SkillsUSA Response to Ohio Masonry Contest Issue

Attached is a statement from SkillsUSA and a statement from the Ohio Department of Education. These statements pertain to an issue with the scoring of the 2016 SkillsUSA Ohio Masonry competition that resulted in a number of mentions in the press. The issue was national competition eligibility.

SkillsUSA Instructors Recognized as Winners for the 2024 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence

SkillsUSA instructors are among 25 outstanding teachers from 19 states who are winners for the 2024 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. In total, $1.5 million in cash prizes were awarded to the teachers and their programs.

Hansen Ignites Welding Victory at International Event

SkillsUSA competitor Wyatt Hansen, age 20, of Utah won a bronze medal in Welding at the WorldSkills Competition, held Sept. 10-15 at Eurexpo in Lyon, France
